DAY 1: Sun or Thu - Departure From USA
Board your Egypt Air jet and begin your journey back in time to this charming, ancient land.
| DAY 2: Mon or Fri - Cairo
Arrival in the Land of the Pharaohs. At Cairo International airport you will be welcomed and assisted through immigration and customs by our representative, then escorted to your hotel.(D)
| DAY 3: Tue or Sat - Cairo, Abu Simbel, Aswan
This morning transfer to Cairo airport for your flight to Abu Simbel via Aswan, visit the Great Temple of Ramses II and the temple of his beloved Queen Nefertari, both temples carved out of a hillside beside the Nile in the 13th century BC. After visiting this magnificent site, you will be transferred to the airport for your flight back to Aswan. Once there, your representative will assist and transfer you to your deluxe cruise ship where you will spend the next 4 nights / 5 days. Lunch on board, then sail the Nile by felucca around Kitchener's Island and the Agha Khan Mausoleum. Afternoon tea. In the evening, dinner & Nubian Folkloric Show. Overnight in Aswan.(B, L, D)
| DAY 4: Wed or Sun - Aswan, Kom ombo, Edfu
Visit the High Dam, the Granite Quarries with the Unfinished Obelisk and the Temple of Philae. After lunch, sail to Kom Ombo where you will visit the Ptolemaic Temple of Sobek & Haroeries. Then sail to Edfu; afternoon tea. In the evening, Captain's Welcome Cocktail Party (smart casual attire), dinner and dancing. Overnight in Edfu. (B, L, D)
| DAY 5: Thu or Mon - Edfu, Luxor
Travel by horse-drawn carriage to the Temple of Horus, the falcon-god, considered the best-preserved temple in Ancient Egypt and the second largest after the Temple of Karnak. Sail to Esna, passing through the Esna Lock, and continue sailing towards Luxor. Dinner and Galabya Party. Overnight in Luxor.(B, L, D)
| DAY 6: Fri or Tue - Luxor
Visit the West Bank including Valleys of the Kings and Queens, Temple of Queen Hatshepsut at Deir El Bahari and the Colossi of Memnon. Back for lunch, then proceed to visit Karnak and Luxor Temples, a centuries-old city of pylons, hypostyle halls, colossal statues, shrines and obelisks. In the evening, dinner and Belly Dancer Show. Overnight in Luxor.(B, L, D)
| DAY 7: Sat or Wed - Luxor
Disembarkation from the cruise after breakfast and transfer to your hotel in Luxor. Remaining of the day is free at leisure, or you may participate in half day optional tour Habo City and Rammeseum Temple. Evening, transfer to Karnack Temple for the Sound & Light Show. Overnight in Luxor.(B, D)
| DAY 8: Sun or Thu - Luxor, Dendarah, Luxor
After breakfast, drive to Quena to visit Denderah, one of the most beautiful Egyptian complexes dedicated to Hathor, Goddess of life and fertility. Back to your hotel in Luxor for overnight.(B, D)
| DAY 9: Mon or Fri - Luxor, Hurghada
After breakfast drive from Luxor to your hotel at the Red Sea resort (3 hours Convoy), arrive to Hurghada around noontime, rest of the day is free to enjoy the beach activities.(B, D)
| DAY 10: Tue or Sat - Hurghada
Breakfast and a day at leisure for swimming, diving or just relaxing by the beach. (B, D)
| DAY 11: Wed or Sun - Hurghada
Enjoy the beautiful beach of Hurghada. Relax at your hotel, dinner and overnight.(B, D)
| DAY 12: Thu or Mon - Hurghada, Cairo
Breakfast and transfer to Hurghada airport for your flight back to Cairo, where you will be met and transferred to your hotel. Balance of the day at leisure.(B, D)
| DAY 13: Fri or Tue - Cairo, City Tour
Start your day with a guided tour of the Egyptian Museum where you will find artifacts of the Pharaonic era and the treasures of king Tutankhamun’s tomb. Drive to Old Cairo, where early Judaism and Christianity flourished in Egypt. Visit the Ben Ezra Synagogue and Saint Sergius Church. After lunch, drive to the Citadel of Saladin and visit Mohamed Ali Alabaster Mosque. Enjoy a walking tour of the largest 13th century covered oriental market, the Khan El Khalili Bazaar. Dinner and overnight at hotel. (B, L, D)
| DAY 14: Sat or Wed - Cairo, Pyramids Tour
After breakfast; a scenic drive will take you to the Pyramids & Sphinx of Giza, which have stood for the last 5000 years. Complete your visit at Giza with a tour of the Solar Boat Museum. After lunch, continue to the ancient city of Memphis, the first capital of United Upper and Lower Egypt, and then visit Sakkara, site of the Step Pyramid of Zoser. In the evening, return to the Pyramids area for a "Sound & Light” show.(B, L, D)
| DAY 15: Sun or Thu - Departure
After breakfast you will be transferred to Cairo airport for your departure flight on Egypt Air. (B)
