DAY 1: SAT, MON or THU - CAIRO, LUXOR (OPTIONAL SOUND & LIGHT SHOW KARNAK) Morning flight to Luxor. Upon arrival you will be met and escorted to your cruise ship where you will spend the next 7 nights / 8 days. Accommodations aboard your cruise ship will consist of outside Jr. suite cabin with private facilities. Visit the West Bank necropolis including the Valley of the Kings, the funerary temple of Queen Hatshipsut at Deir El Bahari and the Colossi of Memnon. (Evening; optional Sound & Light Show at the Karnak Temple), overnight in Luxor. (L, D) DAY 2: SUN, TUE OR FRI - LUXOR, EDFU Early morning sailing, passing through the Esna Lock and continue sailing for the remainder of the day towards Edfu. Tonight a very special costume party, Egyptian and Pharaonic style “gallabeya party”, overnight in Edfu.(B, L, D) DAY 3: MON, WED OR SAT - EDFU, KOM OMBO, ASWAN Travel by horse-drawn carriage to the Temple of Horus, the falcon-god, considered the best-preserved temple in Ancient Egypt and the second largest after the Temple of Karnak. Sail to Kom Ombo where you will visit the Ptolemaic Temple of Sobek & Haroeries. Then sail to Aswan and overnight.(B, L, D) DAY 4: TUE, THU OR SUN - ASWAN (OPTIONAL SOUND & LIGHT SHOW PHILAE) Visit the High Dam, the Granite Quarries with the Unfinished Obelisk and the Temple of Philae. Sail on board a felucca, a typical Egyptian sailboat, and view Kitchener’s Botanical Garden and the Aga Khan Mausoleum. (Evening; optional Sound & Light Show at the Philae Temple), overnight in Aswan.(B, L, D) DAY 5: WED, FRI OR MON - ASWAN, KOM OMBO, EDFU (OPTIONAL ABU SIMBEL TOUR) Morning free at leisure (or you may participate in an optional tour to Abu Simbel, visit the colossal Temple of Ramses II and the temple of his beloved Queen Nefertari, both temples carved out of a hillside beside the Nile in the 13th century BC), afternoon sail to Kom Ombo, then on to Edfu.(B, L, D) DAY 6: THU, SAT OR THE - EDFU, LUXOR Sail to Esna, day is free at your leisure, you may enjoy the facilities of your luxury Cruise, swimming pool, overnight in Luxor. (B, L, D) DAY 7: FRI, SUN OR WED - LUXOR, DENDARAH Early morning breakfast, then drive to Qena to visit Dendarah, one of the most beautiful complexes dedicated to Hathor, goddess of life and fertility; back to Luxor. In the early evening, visit to the temple of Luxor, overnight in Luxor. (B, L, D) DAY 8: SAT, MON OR THU- Luxor, Cairo Breakfast on board your cruise ship, disembarkation and visit Karnak Temple, a centuries-old city of pylons, hypostyle halls, statues, shrines and obelisks. Transfer to Luxor airport for your flight to Cairo. If your flight departs early morning, visits will be done the day before. (B)
