Itinerary

Day 1 - CAIRO

Arrive in the Land of the Pharaohs. Upon completion of immigration and customs formalities at Cairo International Airport, you will be met by our representative and escorted to your hotel. This evening experience an optional sound and light show at the Pyramids of Giza

Day 2 - PYRAMIDS - SPHINX - EGYPTIAN MUSEUM

Visit the Great Pyramids of Giza and the enigmatic Sphinx. After lunch, tour the Egyptian Museum of Antiquities to see the world’s largest collection of Pharaonic artifacts and the treasures of Tutankhamen’s tomb. (B, L)

Day 3 - CAIRO – COPTIC TOUR

After breakfast you will visit old Coptic Cairo to see Al Moallaka Church (Hanging Church), Church of Abu Serga built in the 4th century and Ben Ezra Synagogue. Then, visit the Coptic Museum where you can find the largest collection of Egyptian Christian artifacts in the world. Next, have traditional Egyptian lunch before you head back to your hotel for overnight. (B, L)

Day 4 - CAIRO – WADI EL NATROUN

Pick up early after breakfast from your hotel to start your day tour to visit St. Bishoy Monastery in Wadi El Natroun. The Monastery of Saint Bishoy contains the relics of Bishoy, Paul of Tammah, and relics of other saints. Eyewitnesses recount that the body of Bishoy remains incorrupt. Pope Shenouda III of Alexandria is also entombed there. (B, L)

Day 5 - CAIRO – RED SEA MONASTERIES

Today you will visit the Coptic Monastery of St. Paul “Deir Mar Boulos” founded in the 5th century, located at the bottom of the Red Sea Mountains in the Eastern Desert; St. Paul was one of the first hermits. The monastery consists of three churches but the heart of them is the Monastery of St. Paul which was constructed around the cave where Paul Lived. (B, L

Day 6 - CAIRO – HOLY VIRGIN CHURCH - MONASTERY OF ST SIMON

After breakfast Visit the Church of the Holy Virgin with its three cupolas on the banks of the Nile at Maadi. Continue to the Monastery of St. Simon (Simeon) the Tanner, situated in the Mokattam Mountain, on the outskirts of Cairo. (B)

Day 7 - CAIRO - PORT SAID

After breakfast, you will take a road trip to Port-Said where we will visit the Anba Bishoy Church that has the Virgin Mary icon dripping Holy Oil for 25 years. Enjoy lunch at a Seafood Restaurant before heading to your hotel for overnight. (B, L)

Day 8 - CAIRO – COPTIC CHURCHES

After breakfast travel back to Cairo and Visit Church of Holy Virgin in Haret El Roum, the church was the seat of the coptic Orthodox Pope of Alexandria. Continue to the Coptic Cathedral at Abbassia area (B)

Day 9 - CAIRO TO USA (OR EXTEND YOUR STAY)

After breakfast, transfer to Cairo International Airport for your departure flight. (B)
